Here you will find our different wine lines. If you are not yet sure which wine is the right one for you, our wine finder will help you.
Each wine impresses with its unique character, shaped by its growing area, vineyards, the vines' characteristics, and the winemaker's craftsmanship. Nobody can tell more about wines, their origin, and winemaking than those who created them. For this reason, we offer you the opportunity to gain an insight into our company during our wine tastings. Not only do you get to know us, the people behind the wine, but you also get the chance to learn the stories behind our wines first-hand.
Can I do a wine tasting with you? Of course! You are welcome to come to our weekly wine tasting or make an appointment for a private wine tasting with us. If you don't have time to visit our winery, we offer you the possibility of a wine tasting in our living room wine tasting, comfortably on your sofa.
Wine is alive, and like all living things, it evolves. Therefore, after bottling, our wines are stored in the bottles for at least eight months before they get sold. Ideally, the bottle must be closed with a cork to use this maturing time. Natural corks do not hermetically seal the bottles. This exchange of air with the environment allows our wines to develop excellently.
Yes! All red wines from the Gerhard Trossen winery mature in oak barrels. We use barrels, which have a capacity of 1000l. We also use 225l barrique barrels for our Pinot Noir special edition. Our sparkling wine base wines also mature in oak barrels.
At Weingut Gerhard Trossen we grow the following grape varieties: Riesling, Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer, Dornfelder and Müller-Thurgau.
