2023 Annemaire Riesling trocken

This wine does not begin in the cellar – it begins with my grandmother Annemarie.
Annemarie was the eldest of seven children in a winemaking family – and yet she was never allowed to take over the estate, simply because she was a woman. When my parents later took over my father’s winery, she wanted to contribute her part. She gifted them a vineyard in one of the finest sites on the Mosel. Not out of duty, but out of love for her family – and for wine.

Fermentation takes place spontaneously in oak barrels, driven by the grapes’ natural yeasts. The young wine then rests in barrel for two winters, given time to find itself. Only 1.5 years after the harvest is it bottled unfiltered.

Character:
A dry Riesling with fine minerality, clear fruit and deep calm. Elegant, precise, with a long, lingering finish – like a memory that remains.
